Whilst BMX riding is often associated with teenagers and adolescents, the reality is that people of all ages regularly participate in BMX riding.

Racing BMX, for example, is one type of BMX riding that truly encourages participation by all age ranges, from very young children right up to those who are in their 50s. Each race is categorised not only according to level of ability but also by age. For this reason, racing BMX is often participated in by entire family groups, with race meetings frequently doubling-up as social get-togethers.

Although freestyle BMX (the type of BMX riding that mainly involves the performance of stunts and tricks) is largely the province of those in their teens and early twenties, there are still a significant number of older riders who enjoy freestyle riding. Admittedly, many of these older riders will be relatively experienced riders rather than complete novices, but the truth is that visiting many a BMX park will put paid to the idea that BMX is solely the province of teenagers.

Very young riders are also often nowadays seen with freestyle BMX bikes. Although many are simply attracted to the idea of having a bike that simply looks and feels cool (indeed, can there be anything cooler than the free-turning high-rise gyroscopic handlebars and brightly-coloured stunt pegs of a freestyle BMX bike?), there may well be opportunities for a young rider to get to try some basic tricks and leaps when attending a BMX park.

For this reason, it is essential that very young riders are not fobbed off with unsafe inferior 'lookalike' BMX bikes from a department store; that they wear full protective gear at all times; and, where possible, attend a local authority BMX coaching course. BMX Stunts Extreme is regarded as an online BMX game which is available free on the web through thousands of free arcade game websites. The superman flip will make the rider get up from his seat and use his hand to press on the handle of the bike to support his weight. The batman flip can be carried out by pressing the C key. If you want to rotate the wheel, you can press the down arrow and X key. By doing so, the bicycle will turn around to the opposite direction.

 

Each time you successfully perform a trick, you will be awarded with points.

Your score is displayed on top of the screen. Besides the timer, bonus and points are also displayed on the screen. When you perform a bike trick, the name of the bike trick will be displayed. For example, if you perform the backflip, the word "Backflips" will be displayed so that you know what bike trick was just executed. To perform a backflip, you have to ride your bike up to a tall ramp. While at the highest point of the ramp, you must quickly perform the backflip. If the ramp is too low, you will fall down when attempting to perform a backflip.

 

The superman flip can easily be attempted in both low and tall ramp. The ramp should not be close to another ramp otherwise you will fall down. The batman flip will make your bicycle turn 360 degrees from sideways. After you have performed the batman flip, you must let go of the C key as your bike drop to the platform. If you keep on pressing the C key, you will fall down. Pressing the up arrow won't make you fall down while performing the batman flip.

Every modern BMX shop, whether online or on the high street, is legally required to ensure that every crash helmet conforms to British and European safety standards, but it is always best to confirm that the helmet which you purchase is properly certified and approved. Check for BS EN 1078 and CE/CPSC certification and all responsible BMX shop owners will confirm that their safety helmets are compliant. Helmets come in a range of styles and colours, some are more suited to certain types of BMX riding, and some also suit different personal tastes.

However, as long as they are durable and safe, any other consideration is completely secondary. Firms such as Pro-Tec and SFR have fantastic reputations for quality helmet manufacture, but many other brands are also available. If you make the mistake of taking your virgin voyage aboard your new BMX without wearing safety padding, you will soon realise that pro riders always wear their pads for a reason; it's not a fashion statement! So make sure you get a good set of elbow pads from trusted manufacturers such as Anarchy and SFR. Both of these firms also produce excellent knee pads, wrist pads and shin pads. Firms such as Shiner and Smith manufacture quality protective gloves which are the first item in any kitbag and provide grip as well as flexibility and breathability. Finally, make sure that you invest in a good pair of goggles or sunglasses to protect you from damage and sun glare, you need to see what you are doing at all times aboard a BMX! Mildon, 24, stomped the three rotations perfectly during the free-to-the-public BMX show in his home-town. A representative of the Guinness Book Of World Records was on hand to witness and approve the ground-breaking trick that is sure to send shockwaves through the two-wheeled action-sports industry. "This is the perfect result to three intensive months of practising and training for this moment," said a thrilled Mildon.
